# Paramount+ vs MGM+

The clearest difference is ads: MGM+ at none against Paramount+'s shown. MGM+ also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Paramount+'s advantage is chart position (#2 vs #63) and ratings volume (926K vs 88K). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paramount+ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and MGM+ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MGM+ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paramount+ has 926K ratings behind it against 88K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Paramount+'s written reviews are positive against 36% of MGM+'s.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 13, 2026.
