# MBE Flashcards Pro vs Bar Exam Prep

The clearest difference is monetization model: MBE Flashcards Pro at free with in-app purchases against Bar Exam Prep's subscription. MBE Flashcards Pro also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and ratings volume (9 vs 3). Bar Exam Prep's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 16 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MBE Flashcards Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Bar Exam Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bar Exam Prep holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 3 respectively.

MBE Flashcards Pro ships an update every 16 months, Bar Exam Prep every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
