# Speedometer mph Odometer vs BikeSpeedo

The clearest difference is ads: BikeSpeedo at none against Speedometer mph Odometer's shown. BikeSpeedo also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Speedometer mph Odometer's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (769 vs 11). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Speedometer mph Odometer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer mph Odometer has 769 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Speedometer mph Odometer's written reviews are positive against 73% of BikeSpeedo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
