# Bracket Maker vs Tourney

The clearest difference is price: Tourney at Free against Bracket Maker's $0.99. Tourney also leads on rating (4.5 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). Bracket Maker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.1). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Tourney is free to download; Bracket Maker costs $0.99 up front. Tourney sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Bracket Maker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tourney holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tourney has 469 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Bracket Maker's written reviews are positive against 53% of Tourney's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bracket Maker ships an update every 5 months, Tourney every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
