# Checkers 10x10 vs Backgammon Plus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Checkers 10x10 at 68% against Backgammon Plus's 18%. Backgammon Plus's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 8 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Checkers 10x10 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Backgammon Plus sells 25 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon Plus has 4.7K ratings behind it against 465, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Checkers 10x10's written reviews are positive against 18% of Backgammon Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Checkers 10x10 ships an update every 8 months, Backgammon Plus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
