# Black Operations HD vs Defense Battle

The clearest difference is rating: Black Operations HD at 3.8 against Defense Battle's 3.1. Black Operations HD also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (84 vs 8). Defense Battle's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 33%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Black Operations HD sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Defense Battle sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Black Operations HD holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Black Operations HD has 84 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Black Operations HD's written reviews are positive against 67% of Defense Battle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Black Operations HD ships an update fortnightly, Defense Battle monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
