# Shogeki vs Changing Platforms

The clearest difference is ads: Shogeki at none against Changing Platforms's shown. Shogeki also leads on iOS requirement (6.0 vs 11.0). Changing Platforms's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shogeki ships an update every 2 months, Changing Platforms monthly. The most recent releases landed on July 3, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
