# Happy Scale vs The Mulligainz Method

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: The Mulligainz Method at none against Happy Scale's 8. Happy Scale's advantage is ratings volume (58K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Happy Scale sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. The Mulligainz Method asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Happy Scale against 5.0 for The Mulligainz Method. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Happy Scale has 58K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Happy Scale ships an update every 5 days, The Mulligainz Method every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
