# Happy Scale vs Shotsy GLP

The clearest difference is monetization model: Shotsy GLP at free with in-app purchases against Happy Scale's subscription. Happy Scale's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Happy Scale sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Shotsy GLP sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Happy Scale against 4.8 for Shotsy GLP. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 58K and 34K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of Happy Scale's written reviews are positive against 90% of Shotsy GLP's.

Happy Scale ships an update every 5 days, Shotsy GLP fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
