# Happy Scale vs Slim Down Weight Loss

The clearest difference is monetization model: Slim Down Weight Loss at free with in-app purchases against Happy Scale's subscription. Happy Scale's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Happy Scale sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Slim Down Weight Loss sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Happy Scale ships an update every 5 days, Slim Down Weight Loss monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
