# uDisk vs File Manager

uDisk and File Manager both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 84% of uDisk's written reviews are positive against 22% of File Manager's. uDisk also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.4). File Manager's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. uDisk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and File Manager sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for uDisk against 4.3 for File Manager. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 248 and 122 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of uDisk's written reviews are positive against 22% of File Manager's.

uDisk ships an update every 2 months, File Manager every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
