# uDisk vs FoneBackup

The clearest difference is rating: uDisk at 4.3 against FoneBackup's 2.7. uDisk also leads on review sentiment (84% vs 50%) and ratings volume (247 vs 3). FoneBackup's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. uDisk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FoneBackup sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.95 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

uDisk holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: uDisk has 247 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of uDisk's written reviews are positive against 50% of FoneBackup's.

uDisk ships an update every 2 months, FoneBackup fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
