# KSU vs MyKAU

The clearest difference is rating: KSU at 5.0 against MyKAU's 4.0. MyKAU's advantage is ratings volume (416 vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KSU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyKAU has 416 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of KSU's written reviews are positive against 34% of MyKAU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KSU ships an update every 2 months, MyKAU fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
