# Linksys vs AutomationBT

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AutomationBT at none against Linksys's 2. AutomationBT also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). Linksys's advantage is ratings volume (99K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linksys sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. AutomationBT asks for nothing beyond the download.

AutomationBT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linksys has 99K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Linksys's written reviews are positive against 14% of AutomationBT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Linksys ships an update every 5 weeks, AutomationBT every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
