# Linksys vs TP

Linksys and TP both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of TP's written reviews are positive against 20% of Linksys's. Linksys's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (99K vs 1.1K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linksys sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and TP sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TP holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linksys has 99K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Linksys's written reviews are positive against 86% of TP's.

Linksys ships an update every 5 weeks, TP every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
