# Linksys vs MU

The clearest difference is rating: Linksys at 4.7 against MU's 2.4. Linksys also leads on ratings volume (99K vs 5). MU's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (40% vs 20%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linksys sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. MU asks for nothing beyond the download.

Linksys holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linksys has 99K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Linksys's written reviews are positive against 40% of MU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Linksys ships an update every 5 weeks, MU every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
