# Seat Alerts vs Flight Upgrade Tracker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flight Upgrade Tracker at 100% against Seat Alerts's 42%. Flight Upgrade Tracker also leads on rating (3.7 vs 3.1) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Seat Alerts's advantage is ratings volume (140 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Seat Alerts sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flight Upgrade Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flight Upgrade Tracker holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Seat Alerts has 140 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Seat Alerts's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flight Upgrade Tracker's.

Seat Alerts ships an update every 3 months, Flight Upgrade Tracker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
