# Seat Alerts vs Flight Board

The clearest difference is rating: Flight Board at 4.7 against Seat Alerts's 3.1. Flight Board also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (31K vs 140). Seat Alerts's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Seat Alerts sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Flight Board asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flight Board holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Board has 31K ratings behind it against 140, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Seat Alerts's written reviews are positive against 36% of Flight Board's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Seat Alerts ships an update every 3 months, Flight Board every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
