# Good Light! Magazine vs PRO EDU

The clearest difference is monetization model: PRO EDU at free with in-app purchases against Good Light! Magazine's subscription. PRO EDU also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Good Light! Magazine's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Good Light! Magazine sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and PRO EDU sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $249.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PRO EDU holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 64 and 102 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Good Light! Magazine's written reviews are positive against 87% of PRO EDU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Good Light! Magazine ships an update every 4 months, PRO EDU every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
