# Prismatic vs Gradient Maker

The clearest difference is update cadence: Gradient Maker at every 5 weeks against Prismatic's every 4 months. Prismatic's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prismatic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Gradient Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Prismatic ships an update every 4 months, Gradient Maker every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
