# JTBC NOW vs 왓챠

The clearest difference is rating: 왓챠 at 4.6 against JTBC NOW's 3.1. 왓챠 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). JTBC NOW's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 37%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JTBC NOW sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and 왓챠 sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

왓챠 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 왓챠 has 3.1K ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of JTBC NOW's written reviews are positive against 37% of 왓챠's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

JTBC NOW ships an update monthly, 왓챠 weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
