# Authenticateit vs Discount Calc

The clearest difference is rating: Discount Calc at 4.4 against Authenticateit's 1.0. Discount Calc also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). Authenticateit's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Discount Calc holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Discount Calc has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.

Authenticateit ships an update every 5 weeks, Discount Calc every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
