# Google Chrome vs Door Browser

Google Chrome and Door Browser both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Door Browser's written reviews are positive against 61% of Google Chrome's. Door Browser also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). Google Chrome's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (4M vs 35). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Google Chrome sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Door Browser sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Door Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Chrome has 4M ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Google Chrome's written reviews are positive against 100% of Door Browser's.

Google Chrome ships an update weekly, Door Browser every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
