# Google Chrome vs SafeFM

The clearest difference is rating: Google Chrome at 4.7 against SafeFM's 4.2. Google Chrome also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (4M vs 42). SafeFM's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Google Chrome sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and SafeFM sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Google Chrome holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Chrome has 4M ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Google Chrome's written reviews are positive against 53% of SafeFM's.

Google Chrome ships an update weekly, SafeFM every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
