# Vagaro vs Lacquer Gallery

Vagaro and Lacquer Gallery both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Lacquer Gallery's written reviews are positive against 50% of Vagaro's. Vagaro's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (9.1K vs 13). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vagaro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vagaro has 9.1K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Vagaro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lacquer Gallery's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vagaro ships an update every 2 weeks, Lacquer Gallery every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
