# Vagaro vs SQUIRE™

The clearest difference is ads: Vagaro at none against SQUIRE™'s shown. Vagaro also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). SQUIRE™'s advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SQUIRE™ holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9.1K and 13K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Vagaro's written reviews are positive against 40% of SQUIRE™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vagaro ships an update every 2 weeks, SQUIRE™ every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
