# Roster vs GROUPS Calendar

The clearest difference is ads: GROUPS Calendar at none against Roster's shown. GROUPS Calendar also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roster sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and GROUPS Calendar sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Roster ships an update every 2 months, GROUPS Calendar every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
