# Magic vs MagicWare for Magicians

The clearest difference is rating: MagicWare for Magicians at 4.0 against Magic's 2.0. MagicWare for Magicians also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). Magic's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 0%) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MagicWare for Magicians sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MagicWare for Magicians holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Magic's written reviews are positive against 0% of MagicWare for Magicians's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic ships an update every 3 months, MagicWare for Magicians fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
