# PowerFolder vs AES Crypt

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AES Crypt at 42% against PowerFolder's 0%. AES Crypt also leads on ratings volume (28 vs 2). PowerFolder's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
