# BrainPOP Jr. vs The Reading Bug

The clearest difference is update cadence: The Reading Bug at every 3 days against BrainPOP Jr.'s every 6 weeks. The Reading Bug also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). BrainPOP Jr.'s advantage is ratings volume (21K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainPOP Jr. sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and The Reading Bug sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
