# Bubble Blast Rescue vs Rocket Buddy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bubble Blast Rescue at free with in-app purchases against Rocket Buddy's subscription. Bubble Blast Rescue also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 8 months vs every 28 months). Rocket Buddy's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 351). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bubble Blast Rescue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Rocket Buddy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Bubble Blast Rescue against 4.8 for Rocket Buddy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rocket Buddy has 11K ratings behind it against 351, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of Bubble Blast Rescue's written reviews are positive against 69% of Rocket Buddy's.

Bubble Blast Rescue ships an update every 8 months, Rocket Buddy every 28 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
