# GeoCaches vs Routemize

The clearest difference is rating: Routemize at 5.0 against GeoCaches's 4.4. Routemize also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). GeoCaches's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GeoCaches sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Routemize asks for nothing beyond the download.

Routemize holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GeoCaches has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GeoCaches ships an update every 2 months, Routemize every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
