# BrainHQ vs Auto

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Auto at none against BrainHQ's 2. Auto also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). BrainHQ's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 1) and chart position (#169 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainHQ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month. Auto asks for nothing beyond the download.

Auto holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BrainHQ has 22K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BrainHQ ships an update every 2 months, Auto every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
