# NiceClock Digital vs Alarm Clock

The clearest difference is rating: Alarm Clock at 4.3 against NiceClock Digital's 3.7. Alarm Clock also leads on ratings volume (187 vs 49). NiceClock Digital's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 20 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarm Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. NiceClock Digital asks for nothing beyond the download.

Alarm Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 49 and 187 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of NiceClock Digital's written reviews are positive against 35% of Alarm Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NiceClock Digital ships an update every 2 weeks, Alarm Clock every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
