# NiceClock Digital vs Big Clock

The clearest difference is rating: NiceClock Digital at 3.8 against Big Clock's 2.3. NiceClock Digital also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 31 months) and ratings volume (49 vs 4). Big Clock's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NiceClock Digital holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NiceClock Digital has 49 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 49% and 50% positive.

NiceClock Digital ships an update every 6 weeks, Big Clock every 31 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
