# Mānoa Now vs TW Pay

The clearest difference is ads: Mānoa Now at none against TW Pay's shown. Mānoa Now also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). TW Pay's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (191 vs 22). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TW Pay holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TW Pay has 191 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Mānoa Now's written reviews are positive against 88% of TW Pay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mānoa Now ships an update every 2 months, TW Pay every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
