# Lapse It vs Hyperlapse

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lapse It at 43% against Hyperlapse's 0%. Lapse It also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 96) and device support (3 vs 1). Hyperlapse's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lapse It sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Hyperlapse sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hyperlapse holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lapse It has 1.1K ratings behind it against 96, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Lapse It's written reviews are positive against 0% of Hyperlapse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lapse It ships an update every 2 weeks, Hyperlapse fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
