# Shot Game vs Cardfinity

The clearest difference is monetization model: Shot Game at free against Cardfinity's free with in-app purchases. Shot Game also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.5.0). Cardfinity's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shot Game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cardfinity sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cardfinity holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cardfinity has 17 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Shot Game's written reviews are positive against 80% of Cardfinity's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shot Game ships an update every 4 weeks, Cardfinity weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
