# SEQ vs Pipes

The clearest difference is price: Pipes at Free against SEQ's $1.99. SEQ's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (94% vs 63%). On rating, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Pipes is free to download; SEQ costs $1.99 up front. SEQ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pipes sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pipes holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SEQ has 2.6K ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of SEQ's written reviews are positive against 63% of Pipes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SEQ ships an update every 6 weeks, Pipes every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
