# HamAntCal vs Morse eMail

The clearest difference is review sentiment: HamAntCal at 90% against Morse eMail's 50%. HamAntCal also leads on ratings volume (57 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). Morse eMail's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 31 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

HamAntCal costs $0.99 and Morse eMail $0.99 up front. HamAntCal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Morse eMail asks for nothing beyond the download.

Morse eMail holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HamAntCal has 57 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of HamAntCal's written reviews are positive against 50% of Morse eMail's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HamAntCal ships an update every 31 months, Morse eMail every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 11, 2026.
