# North Pointe Cinemas vs Rent.Fun

The clearest difference is rating: Rent.Fun at 4.7 against North Pointe Cinemas's 3.7. Rent.Fun also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 55 months) and ratings volume (877 vs 3). North Pointe Cinemas's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rent.Fun holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rent.Fun has 877 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of North Pointe Cinemas's written reviews are positive against 33% of Rent.Fun's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

North Pointe Cinemas ships an update every 55 months, Rent.Fun every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
