# VJ vs YouSound

VJ and YouSound both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of YouSound's written reviews are positive against 31% of VJ's. YouSound also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (81 vs 1). VJ's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for VJ against 4.9 for YouSound.
