# Aurora Forecast. vs Veður

The clearest difference is rating: Aurora Forecast. at 4.6 against Veður's 2.5. Aurora Forecast. also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (4.8K vs 16). Veður's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (48% vs 32%). On price, ads, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aurora Forecast. sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Veður asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aurora Forecast. holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aurora Forecast. has 4.8K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Aurora Forecast.'s written reviews are positive against 48% of Veður's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Aurora Forecast. ships an update weekly, Veður every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
