# Weber® Grills vs SteakMate

The clearest difference is rating: Weber® Grills at 4.8 against SteakMate's 3.6. Weber® Grills also leads on ratings volume (9.5K vs 8) and update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). SteakMate's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 35%) and iOS requirement (13.0.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Weber® Grills holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weber® Grills has 9.5K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Weber® Grills's written reviews are positive against 70% of SteakMate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Weber® Grills ships an update monthly, SteakMate every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
