# PDF Max vs PDF Vault

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Vault at 5.0 against PDF Max's 4.5. PDF Vault also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 35%). PDF Max's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Max sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and PDF Vault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Vault holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5.
