# Microsoft Copilot vs Slingshot

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Slingshot at none against Microsoft Copilot's 18. Slingshot also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Microsoft Copilot's advantage is ratings volume (1.4M vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft Copilot sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Slingshot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Slingshot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Copilot has 1.4M ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Microsoft Copilot's written reviews are positive against 9% of Slingshot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Microsoft Copilot ships an update every 4 days, Slingshot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
