# NED Comic vs Saturday AM

The clearest difference is monetization model: NED Comic at free with in-app purchases against Saturday AM's subscription. NED Comic also leads on update cadence (every 8 months vs every 37 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Saturday AM's advantage is ratings volume (258 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NED Comic sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and Saturday AM sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NED Comic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Saturday AM has 258 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NED Comic ships an update every 8 months, Saturday AM every 37 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
