# FTP Sprite vs FTPManager

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FTPManager at none against FTP Sprite's 1. FTPManager also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months). FTP Sprite's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 25%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FTP Sprite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FTPManager asks for nothing beyond the download.

FTPManager holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of FTP Sprite's written reviews are positive against 25% of FTPManager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FTP Sprite ships an update every 4 months, FTPManager every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
