# FTP Sprite vs FTP Client

The clearest difference is rating: FTP Client at 5.0 against FTP Sprite's 3.1. FTP Client also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). FTP Sprite's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FTP Sprite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FTP Client asks for nothing beyond the download.

FTP Client holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FTP Sprite has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FTP Sprite ships an update every 4 months, FTP Client every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
