# Alfa Telecom vs MyAfricell SL

The clearest difference is rating: MyAfricell SL at 3.8 against Alfa Telecom's 3.0. MyAfricell SL also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Alfa Telecom's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyAfricell SL holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alfa Telecom has 146 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Alfa Telecom's written reviews are positive against 0% of MyAfricell SL's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alfa Telecom ships an update every 3 weeks, MyAfricell SL every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
